What I Got For Christmas 2014 - BEAUTY
The last thing I want this post to come across as is boastful, but I always enjoy having a nosey through what my favourite bloggers received for Christmas so I thought I would show you guys what I received, My parents and I had a lovely day, ate far too much and ploughed our way through various Christmas specials and I am so grateful for all of the beautiful gifts I received, shall we get started then?
I will start with skincare and I was very lucky to receive two beautiful rose scented products from Jurlique. Jurlique is a brand I have read so much about (especially from the ever so lovely Jen from JennyPurr) and have always wanted to try; as I absolutely love anything to do with rose, these two products could not be more fitting. I am really looking forward to testing out their Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser, accompanied by their Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream.
I only own two perfumes so this next product was a welcomed addition, especially as it is a rollerball! Of course I am talking about the Diptyque Eau Rose Roll On. With hints of bergamot, lychee, cedar and musk, I can't wait to plaster myself in this stuff when I am on the go.
Next up we have the bulk of this post - the make up! This is so exciting for me to share with you guys because I was simply blown away when I opened up my gifts and I can't wait to try everything out. First up we have a bloggers favourite that I have coveted probably since I first started blogging - the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I have been pining for this one-palette-does-all for so long now but the £37 price tag certainly put me off, however Santa was very kind to me and I can't wait to play around with lots of different make up looks with this bad boy.
I feel like I should address the MAC products next as they are a huge factor in this post and as one of my favourite brands, I can't stop singing their praises. First up we have the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural (in the shade Light) a really beautiful face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a really natural looking base without feeling weighed down or cakey, I can't wait to see how this fares against my favourite MAC Blotting Pressed Powder. Next up is a lip duo that I'm really excited to try because electric pink/fuschia isn't something I usually opt for but MAC's Hip n Happy and MAC's Pro Longwear Lipglass in Full Speed Ahead look like a really beautiful duo. Finally we have the MAC Mineralize Blush in the shade Sweet Sentiment (I couldn't find it on the website but I can assure it does exist!). I'm super excited for this one because I don't really stray from my favourite Hourglass Ambient blush in the shade Diffused Heat, but I have heard so much about the MAC mineralize range that I am keen and curious to branch out and try something new.
Next up, let's just marvel at these two beautiful lipsticks from YSL, I mean just look at them! The darker shade is from their Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Range and it is in the shade 206 - Grenat Satisfaction. It's a really gorgeous matte berry/purple that claims to last on the lips for a whopping 6 HOURS! I am head over heels with this one so do expect me to harp on about it in future blog posts for the rest of time. Also from YSL, we have the showstopping Rouge Pur Couture in shade 67 (which I also cannot find on their website - it does exist though, promise!). My Dad went in and asked the shop assistant for a BOOM RED LIPS ON YOUR FACE lipstick and that he did achieve, so well done Dad, you did very well (this too will be featured in a future blog post so keep your eyes peeled for that one).
That's it for my lovely Christmas beauty bits, I hope you guys had a lovely day and I would love to know what Santa brought you this year! :)
