Little Hopes and Dreams for 2015
2014 was a bit of a rubbish year, and one I'm quite pleased to see the back of. There are so many things I want to do and achieve in 2015, and by getting a proper diary and a notebook for all my blog posts, plans and ideas, I think I have a better chance of actually doing them; so without further ado...
- Learn to drive
I really should have learnt to drive as soon as I turned 17, but with A-levels looming and the added expense of lessons, the time just never felt right. Now that my uni timetable is so much smaller in terms of actually being in class, I have the time and (thanks to student finance) money to accommodate driving lessons and I can't wait for the freedom it will bring.
- Stick to my blogging schedule (Tuesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's FYI)
I feel like this is going to be one of the most difficult ones to stick to because uni really has to be my priority, but I love blogging and it has given me a hobby and ignited my passion for writing so fingers crossed I can keep the content on PhoebeTea regular and of good quality.
- Start running and go to hot yoga
ome of you may already know that I have an ongoing back condition which means that I have next to no core strength and my mobility is really affected by it so I have been advised that running combined with either yoga or pilates will really improve my core strength and will result in my pain levels being dramatically reduced. I'm also only 5 ft and carrying a tad more weight than I am happy with so I'm hoping that these two activities will trim me down a bit too.
- Learn more about my camera and photography
I have a really lovely Fujifilm bridge camera and I just don't know how to use it to the best of it's ability and that is definitely something I want to change in terms of the quality of my blog photos and also things like holiday photos as well.
- Go on spontaneous trips
I want to explore this big old world this year and I want to do things outside of my comfort zone, things I wouldn't usually think of doing and hopefully 2015 is the year that I will do just that.
- Cook more
I can cook when I am following a fairly idiot proof recipe but I would like to learn more and be able to cook more dishes than my famous pesto (in a jar) pasta and marmite on toast. My latest concoction is sweet potatoes, cheese and roasted peppers (or any other Mediterranean type veggies). If you guys are interested in joining me on cooking journey, please do let me know in the comments section down below! :)
- Start (and stick to!) making a Youtube channel
I spend hours watching youtube videos, not just beauty channels, but also some really brilliant vloggers and it is a pond that I have wanted to dip my toes into for a while now, it's just plucking up the courage to put yourself out there but I am determined to give it a go.
- Make more of an effort to keep in touch with distant friends
A lot of my closest friends go to uni's at the other end of the country, one of them even lives in New Zealand so we only really catch up on the Christmas holidays etc, but after feeling pretty lonely last year I have decided to make a lot more effort with keeping in touch with my bests, whether that be through skype, phone calls or good old fashioned letter writing.
- Save, save, save!
There are so many things I want to do this year, a trip to Paris is on the cards with my best, as is a trip to Greece with Mamma Tee, plus we want to get a little puppy, so really I need to stop buying unnecessary make up and start saving my money for those things and future investments such as a car and a house/flat deposit.
I am very lucky to have travelled to some seriously incredible places in my 19 years of life such as Thailand, Cambodia and California, but there is so much more of the world I want to go and see and explore and I truly hope 2015 is the year I go to New Zealand.
What are you hoping to achieve in 2015?
