The Sunday Post: Pasties in Padstow
Last weekend me, Mamma Tee and Pappa Tee took a long weekend break down in Padstow in Cornwall for the Easter holiday, and what better way to kick it off by eating my entire body weight in pasties and Cornish cream tea's?
My parents had never really been to Cornwall, and none of us had been to Padstow, so we were all really looking forward to just getting away and exploring somewhere new. I kept myself amused by watching "We're The Millers" (which I cannot recommend enough if you want a good giggle) and my trusty travel playlist. After a five and a half hour drive all the way from Winchester, we finally arrived.
Padstow is a really lovely, seaside town, with a ridiculous amount of pasty shops and the best cafe I have ever laid eyes upon - *dribbles*. Seeing as he owns what seems like half of Padstow, it was only appropriate we stayed and wined and dined in Rick Stein's various restaurants and hotel. From dreamy fresh pea risotto to heavenly Bakewell tarts - its safe to say our rather full tummies had a very satisfying Easter!
