For a really long time now I felt so disengaged with everything about blogging. If it wasn't one thing it was another, and with fairly heated forums lurking about, I felt very strongly that us women (and men, if you're reading!) should be lifting each other up at every opportunity and not shooting each other down. Rebecca, Jen and I have exchanged emails and tweets about this and I think we all agreed that if you're creating content to gain followers, then you may as well not bother. Do it because you love it. Do it because it's your passion. Do it because you want to. You never know who could be reading!
When I first started out about a year ago, I was completely bowled over at the level of support and feedback I received from my readers and there just doesn't seem to be nearly as much of that nowadays - we need some of that sisterhood back!
One thing that I hoped would get me excited about blogging again was having a new canvas to work with. I always want to be proud of what I create on my little corner of the internet and getting the aesthetics just right is a big deal to me. In terms of taking a fresh look at blogging in general, Phoebe Tea needed a makeover and I am very lucky and very blessed to have the lovely Amy over at amyalaska as both a close friend and a blog-designing-brainbox! She very kindly did a beautiful reshuffle of Phoebe Tea and I'm thrilled to pieces with the transformation! I finally have an expanding notebook of posts to write but for the first time in a long time I'm getting excited to blog again.
I really hope you guys like the new design and I would love to know your thoughts down below!
