Medley #2

I know how cliche this sounds but I simply cannot believe we are in March already! February seems to have flown by this year and I am beyond happy that Spring is now officially on its way (hence the daffodils), the sun is creeping in behind months of cloud, rain and snow and I can finally start digging out brighter pieces from my wardrobe and ditch my usual all black attire. Anyway enough rambling, here is everything that I have been loving lately!

First up we have a sample of Benefit's latest mascara release and like every other beauty blogger I rushed to the shelves in WH Smith to pick up Elle and snag my freebie. I have a love/hate relationship with Benefit, things like their Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation, High Beam and Benetint are products I use on rotation on a regular basis but I just simply did not get on with the They're Real mascara which everyone seemed to love but for me it was flakey and irritated my eyes, not to mention how hard it is to get off! So with that in mind I didn't have high hopes for Roller Lash but I must say I was more than pleasantly surprised. The brush is a litttle weird as its curved but it hooks onto the individual lashes and grabs, lifts and curls every single lash. I really like the formula too, its not too wet and not too dry so maybe when I have finished my sample and have a few more pennies in the bank, I can see myself repurchasing this one.

Next up is a pen eyeliner that I have heard every blogger and their dog talking about and its Soap & Glory's Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen (phew). Up until recently I had been using the Benefit Magic Ink which comes in a little pot but I found it really difficult to attempt a cat flick with so after watching Essie Button's Taylor Swift make up inspired tutorial, I decided to pick it up because she made it look SO easy and that's because it is! If you are a bit of an  eyeliner noob like myself I highly recommend picking this up for only £6!

Another favourite this month has been a highlighting under-eye pen type product by Estee Lauder, and it is their Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter (is it me or are product names getting longer?!). This is brilliant particularly for concealing dark circles and brightening up the under-eye area as well as acting as a contouring product too.

I have been really getting into eyeshadow recently and this base from Maybelline Eye Studio Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige is just perfect as a base for building up colour, it's creamy (doy) easy to use and super cheap too!

Next up is an album I have probably listened to every single day since I bought it from itunes in October (I think) and of course it is the beautiful and incredibly talented Taylor Swift. I have been an avid Swifty since her country days all the way back in 2006 but although I love her country roots, I'm loving her transition into pop, with Out of The Woods, Blank Space and New Romantics being a few favourites.

This next product I picked up was totally on a whim but I do really like it and it has definitely made me want to try more No. 7 products and ever since I got their Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter I am totally on the cream highlighter bandwagon. It's a really beautiful champagne colour that when applied to the tops of your cheekbones is just stunning.

I only have one skincare product to mention this month and its the First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller. I bought this out of sheer desperation for my dark circles and although I haven't been using it long enough to say whether its working, I'm really enjoying using it.

Finally is an oldie but a goodie is MAC's classic Ruby Woo lipstick. I love a red lip and this just ticks every box for me, it's classic and timeless and the staying power is incredible, if you're a red lip fan like me and don't already have this in your stash, I suggest you head over to your nearest MAC counter PRONTO!

Thank you so much for reading this rather long monthly favourites post, I hope you enjoyed it and I would love to know everything you have been loving in February :)
