Look whose back...back...back, back again...Phoebe's back, tell a friend!
Scrolling through my blog the other day I realised that I had not actually written a "What's in my makeup bag" post since I started blogging... almost two years ago! So here we go folks, this is pretty much what I slap on everyday, lipstick, blush and eyeshadows being the main varying factors.
My skin is always pretty dry and dehydrated so a good primer and base is really key in my routine. Lately I have been opting for the No7 Instant Illusions Airbrush Away Primer paired with Clinique's Moisture Surge CC Cream Hydrating Colour Corrector in the lightest shade. I bought this a few months ago on a total whim because all of my other foundations clung to that same dry patch on my t-zone but this one doesn't. It has pretty good, buildable coverage considering it's classed as a CC cream and as I don't have any redness or am prone to blemishes, this works like a dream to even everything out and make my skin look super healthy.
I then go in with the Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-on Glow Highlighter underneath my eyes to brighten up my bluey-purple toned dark circles; if I do have any blemishes (the usual culprits are the chin and around my nose) I lean on the Nars Creamy Concealer in Vanilla as it is just a dream at concealing any redness. To set my base I use a veeeery light dusting of the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in the shade light.
On to cheeks and depending on what lipstick I am wearing I tend to switch it up, that being said the man of the moment is Nars' Deep Throat (vile, vile name!), a really pretty sheer peach that can be built up to be as bright or subtle as you wish. Whilst I am no pro at contouring, the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour is an absolute dream. I love love love the creamy formula and how easily it blends, afterwards I always go in with the No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter across my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow. Highlighting is one of my favourite steps and having a cream one in my collection makes it all the more enjoyable!
To beef up my brows a tad, I comb through them with the Benefit Gimme Brow, before lining my peepers and giving them a teeny tiny cat flick with Soap & Glory's Supercat eyeliner. To finish off my eyes I apply two generous coatings of the Chantecaille Faux Cils Mascara - without a doubt a holy grail product for me.
Finally I line my lips with every beauty blogger's favourite, Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, polished off with Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Envy Lipstick in the shade Impulsive - a really beautiful pinky-nude with the most perfect formula.
