A Long Weekend in Bath

Last weekend I spent 4 glorious days in the beautiful city of Bath to go house hunting, spend some time with my sister and just have a general explore.

Apart from a complete cock up with me and the train tickets, it was a lovely long weekend. We got to Bath Spa station at about 8:00pm and headed over to my sister and her boyfriend's little mews house for wine and the biggest thai takeaway I have ever seen! Ross (my sister's boyfriend) dropped us back at our super cute boutique B&B where we slept like logs in this beautiful, comfy canopy style four poster bed.

The next morning we were awoken with a bacon sandwich and poached eggs before setting off to find our new nest. My mum and I went to the famous Sally Lunns Buns and stuffed ourselves on a bun about the size of my head covered in clotted cream and strawberry jam - diet starts Monday right? Sadly we had no luck this weekend but I think another visit is on the cards next week for some more viewings.

That evening we all put on our glad rags and headed out for dinner. Ross and I and my sister and mum shared a deep fried brie starter (which was incredible); moving on to mains and we opted for the fish and triple cooked chips, I don't think I have seen a piece of cod that big in my life! Then we shared this desert platter that had an array of tasty treats but I was straight in there for the brownie!

Sunday was Mother's Day and we went to this really cute little cafe and feasted on hands down the most delicious carrot cake ever and a dark chocolate hot chocolate (insert heart eyes emoji HERE!).  We then just went on a little wander as Bath has so many lovely shops. I bought a Chanel/Givenchy style handbag in a charity shop for £5(!), a blue striped shirt and a few cheeky beauty bits that you will have to wait to see in an upcoming blogpost.

All in all, a wonderful long weekend and I can't wait to return.
