Glossier: My Two Cents Worth

Back in October, Glossier FINALLY launched in the UK and I think its suffice to say that the beauty community kind of lost their s*** (myself included)! I did pick up a few bits from both the skincare and make up range but held off reviewing them right away because there was just an influx of posts on the brand and as well as it being a tad overwhelming, I didn't want my post to get lost amongst the sea of others.

BUT, here are all the things you need to know;  Glossier have finally commenced shipping to the U.K and there are three AWESOME points to this launch. Firstly, they seem to be shipping from a U.K-based warehouse which means there are no taxes or customs duties to pay, just £4 standard shipping (which is free if you spend over £25) and £6 express shipping - YASSS! Secondly, the prices have been converted to GBP without a massive hike in price, meaning you can snap up the Milky Jelly Cleanser for £15, the Balm Dot Com for £10 and the bestselling Boy Brow for just £14 – BARGAIN. Finally, upon checkout you’re given a 10% off link to share with your pals!

Right, now that that's out of the way, I can show you everything I picked up! Firstly, and it needs no introduction as it is the brands best-selling product, and for good reason, it is of course the Boy Brow. I got mine in the shade brown but they also come in blonde, black and clear. My brows are incredibly fair despite my dark brown locks and this stuff works to really beef up my brows and keep them in place all day. It reminds me of the Benefit Gimme Brow (a product I used to love) but with a lot more pigment and hold.

Next up in terms of make up, I decided on one of their creamy Cloud Paint blushes in the shade Dusk. I love blush, I think it works as a beautiful tool to really wake the skin up and breath new life into tired complexions, but sometimes I want something a little more subtle and thats where this comes in; the peachy, brown shade is a unique one in my collection and its probably the most natural blush I own. This is more or less my first foray into cream blush and i'm now a complete convert, I love how easy it is to dab into the skin with your fingers for a really dewy and no-make-up-make-up  look.

Finally on the make up side of things, I went for the Haloscope Highlighter in Quartz and this was totally influenced by Anna , because lord knows I do not need anymore highlighters! But this really is beautiful, a gorgeous, dewy hue that pressed into the skin with your fingertips makes you look so healthy and glowy. Glossier describe it having 'a dual-delivery formula' which is absolutely spot on. It has an outer halo which is infused with genuine crystal extracts for all-day glow, and then the solid oil core  is infused with vitamin-rich moisturisers for a hydrated, dewy finish. This is the perfect highlight for any fellow dry skin ladies whose complexion needs perking up.

I was so excited to pick up the Priming Moisturiser Rich because everyone and their dog has been absolutely waxing lyrical about it. Its a very simple moisturiser, theres no frills, no obnoxious scent, just a really great, thick, every day moisturiser - which is all I needed. I have really really dry and dehydrated skin and for that reason, I have never been faithful to just one moisturiser. I did really love the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Fortifying Skin Hydrator (phew, that was a mouthful!) and the Kiehls Skin Rescuer but both are pretty pricey. I'm a big of the Glossier offering however and I already know I will repurchase it when I finish it.

The second skincare option is the infamous Balm Dot Coms. I wasn't sure whether to put this in the make up category or the skincare category, but, because I put it on with the rest of my skincare before make up, I thought it belonged here. I love this lip balm, it is so moisturising and comfortable on the lips, the formula is really rich and nourishing and the flavour I have smells like cake! I will definitely be adding more to my collection, I have heard excellent things about the coconut one so thats next on my hit list.

Aaaand there we have it folks, my thoughts on the Glossier products. What I love most about the brand is how simple, easy and fuss-free everything is, I personally think you would be hard-pressed not to find something you liked.

Have you tried Glossier? I would love to know your thoughts!
